Our friend and member of the IAM community Steve Labelle has whipped up the ‘offical’ event tshirt, which is available for presale now. The links below will have all of the ordering information, so please read it carefully!
If you’re going to be attending the event and will be picking the shirt up in Philadelphia:
Stay Calm Shirt Preorder for those ATTENDING the event.
If you need the shirt shipped:
Stay Calm Shirt Preorder for those NOT Attending the event. Will ship 1st May 2013.
As with all other monies raised for the Stay Calm event, 100% of net proceeds are going directly to Ari Larratt.
This is the mockup; the shirt may change slightly, but not much.
More great news, folks!
Legendary rock poster artist Johnny Thief has completed the artwork for a very limited screen printed event poster for STAY CALM. Printed here in Philadelphia by the awesome dudes at Awesome Dudes Screen Printing a signed/numbered edition will be available only to folks attending the event. Presale is going up shortly and we’ll get the image online as soon as we have the final color art.
If there’s a call for it, we may do a second version- non signed/numbered for folks who can’t attend, but that’s still up in the air.
We’ve got some really fun stuff in the works, so.. Here’s the first big announcement:
I’ve been truly overwhelmed by the amount of folks who’ve signed up to come to Philly to say our respects to Shannon. To some of us he was a friend, to others a mentor… but to Ari- he was Dad.
I really want this event to be FUN, but to remind everyone that there is a somber note to the event as well. To combine the two- we’ve reached out to some of our friends in the industry and are going to be offering some AMAZING Raffle Prizes that will be up for grabs on 27th April!
100% of the Monies raised will go DIRECTLY to Ari!
Here’s what we’ve got so far- so keep checking back and bring some spare cash because this is can’t miss goodness!

25 Days and counting, who’s as geeked as I am?
The LOWES block sold out quickly, so we’ve arranged a second group rate at the Marriot. It’s right across the street from the Lowes, down the street from the Bar and close to the train that will take you to/from FDR park.
Marriot Group Rate.
Shannon’s passing has hit a lot of us very hard- the following sites all have really great memorial pieces for our friend. If you’ve written something, please share the link in the comments!
Over the years the Philadelphia Weirdos met so many amazing friends through our connection with IAM/BME/Shannon. We’d get in the car and drive 10 hours on a whim, just to attend an event that we were invited to. We’d fly to Mexico, Canada, drive all over the US to hang out with like-minded folks. On April 27th, we hosted a gathering in honor of a friend who left us too soon. It’s wasn’t a wake or a memorial, but a celebration of not only Shannon, but the friendships we made through him.
The weekend had something for everyone, reminiscent of BME BBQs of the past. There was a picnic at the park, private suspensions, a party/fundraiser at a bar and the eventual hotel shenanigans that IAM events made famous.
We raised over $3600 in donations (thanks so much to our amazing sponsors, and to all of the folks who gave so freely) that were given directly to Ari Larratt via her Mother.
